The Peoples’ Collection: A Special Exhibition

“The People’s Collection – A Special Exhibition is a physical environment for the artefacts, items and individual stories featured on the documentary series, Treasure Hunt, by Channel NewsAsia. These forgotten pieces of history were the design inspiration for the exhibition.

The finishes used at the exhibition were largely reflective of Singapore’s early years; a humble textured wood-grain laminate portrayed the artefacts in a nostalgic manner, evoking memories of yesteryear. A distinctively vintage touch was also extended to the treatment of the graphics which were inspired by old newspaper advertisements.

It was the perfect place for fellow Singaporeans to share a piece of Singapore’s history together.”
